In order to access your files, please use the File Explorer app in Citrix. This will give you access to all the documents saved in your personal home drive (the "F" drive), the public shared drive (the "G" drive), as well as any departmental shared drives you might have access to.
- The F:\ drive: Every user within Road Scholar has access to a personal network drive, mapped to F:\ in the File Explorer application in Citrix. We recommend you use this for your day-to-day file browsing needs because files will open in the associated Xenapp application (.ppt files will open PowerPoint, etc). Please save all your documents and files there - while you are able to save files to your local hard drive, we don't back up your local hard drive and won't be able to restore your data if your computer crashes or another accident occurs! On the shared drives, everything is backed up.
- The G:\ drive: a public shared network drive, mapped to G:\ in File Explorer. Very useful for collaboration across departments, or sending large documents that don't fit as an email attachment.
- Departmental shared drives: those will be mapped to other letters, with security and usage policies determined by the associated department. If you need to get access to a shared drive, please contact the Tech Desk! We can help you get set up.
